Representatives of partner universities got acquainted and presented their HEIs to other project participants.
On April 22, kick-off event was held by the University of Wroclaw Science and Technology as a large-scale international meeting.
On May 4, another productive meeting was held, where National Academic Council (NAC) was established. It consists of experts in higher education, nominated by project partner organisations.
On May 21, the partner participants conducted a benchmarking research to compare the systems of teaching excellence, professional development and university teachers’ certification in Europe and Ukraine.
The UTTERLY Project Management Board is actively working on developing the strategy for teaching excellence .

On September, 21-23, at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology UTTERLY project members’ meeting titled «University teachers’ certification centers: innovative approach to promote teaching excellence» is taking place in a blended format.
On November 22 – 26, 2021, the representatives of the University namely: Associate Professor of General Pedagogy and Higher School Pedagogy, Faculty of Pedagogics Nataliia Horuk, Associate Professor of Translation Studies and Contrastive Linguistics Department named after Hryhoriy Kochur , Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for International Cooperation and Educational Work Yullia Naniak and Oksana Molderf, Assistant Professor, Department of Intercultural Communication and Translation, Faculty of Foreign Languages visited Bayreuth University, where they learned from the experience of organizing and ensuring the work of teacher certification centers on the basis of higher education institutions.
At the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on the basis of the project “UTTERLY: University Teachers’ Certification Centers. INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO PROMOTION TEACHING EXCELLENCE” on December 7, 2021, a training entitled “Strategy and Model of the Teaching Improvement Center” began. The representatives of each Higher Education Institution-partners of the project in Ukraine were invited to take part in it. The universities delegated two of their representatives: an employee who has managerial authority to improve teaching and a leading representative of the institution’s teaching community.
A new online meeting with the partners of the project “UTTERLY: University Teachers’ Certification Centers. INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO PROMOTION TEACHING EXCELLENCE” took place in early April 2022.
Today we all are in difficult circumstances. If we talk about education, we must understand that the future of the state depends on our graduates who will have profound knowledge and skills: they can prove useful in the future when Ukraine enters the EU and during the postwar cultural and material repair, recovery, and development. Therefore, projects such as UTTERLY should not be stopped, because thanks to the exchange of best practices with European higher education institutions our teachers will be able not only to retain their skills during the war but also to learn the new ones. An online meeting on the UTTERLY project “University Teachers’ Certification Centers. INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO PROMOTION TEACHING EXCELLENCE” with Ukrainian partners took place in early June 2022.
On September 27, within the framework of the UTTERLY/”Teachers Certification Centers: Innovative Approach to Promotion Teaching Excellence” project.
On October 7, 2022, a planning meeting was held online as part of the UTTERLY project under the “ERASMUS+ CAPACITY BUILDING IN THE FIELD OF HIGHER EDUCATION” program. Among the main issues on the agenda were the following: Within the framework of the meeting, Vitaliy Kukharskyy, Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching and IT-Development of Lviv University, presented the response of EACEA to the June report.
From December 5 to 9, in the French city of Versailles, a week-long study will be held within the framework of the “UNIVERSITY TEACHERS’ CERTIFICATION CENTRES: INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO PROMOTION TEACHING EXCELLENCE (UTTERLY)” project of the ERASMUS+ program.
We are starting the new year with productive and important work within the Utterly project. At a meeting on January 13th, the partner universities of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and Lviv National University of Ivan Franko talked about the creation of a training program for educators and course outlines which will serve as a guide for scholarly and pedagogical workers in their professional development.

The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the Vytautas Magnus University, Professor Juozas Augutis, who shared in his welcoming speech the history of the establishment and development of the ZVO and also noted that the educational institution is one of the most liberal universities in Lithuania.
