Work on the UTTERLY project continues in full swing: recently, on February 2, Ukrainian universities participating in the consortium discussed three important issues and accordingly adopted documents that were considered during the meeting of the National Academic Council (NAC).

This meeting primarily concerned Recommendations for institutions of higher education and scientific institutions regarding the introduction of changes to institutional policies to legalize the priority “Improving teaching in higher education” and Proposals regarding the improvement and implementation of the Professional Standard and the group of professions “Teachers of institutions of higher education” (national level), which were presented by Svitlana Kalashnikova. The academic council supported the developed documents unanimously and will recommend them for approval for use by the consortium.

Also, during the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of Svitlana Tsymbalyuk and Natalia Vavdyuk – “Methodical guidance for the creation of the centre of excellence in teaching”. The authors of the document received favourable reviews, and therefore the national academic council voted “for” this development.

It is also worth noting that the council additionally discussed the differentiation of the terms “teaching improvement” and “teaching excellence” to further avoid discrepancies in the documentation.

Thank you colleagues for the fruitful work! We continue to work!
