👥 The participants of the discussions will be graduates of the courses “Comparative Political Science: Political Institutions and Systems of Western European Countries” (bachelor’s degree students in Political Science) and “Comparative Analysis of Political Institutions and Systems of Central and Eastern European Countries” (master’s degree students in Political Science), as well as representatives of the student society “Polis” and the public organization “Center for Political Studies. Lviv,” and so on. The graduate discussions are organized within the framework of the “Erasmus+” program under the direction of “Jean Monnet for Higher Education” (module “Political Institutions and Systems in Europe: Comparison and Experience for Ukraine“, No. 101126702).

📢 The first thematic block of the graduate discussions will focus on discussing the peculiarities, results, and prospects for the further development of the educational process and the mentioned academic courses on the European Union and political institutions and systems in Western and Central-Eastern Europe. Thus, the graduate discussions will essentially become a concluding meeting and a channel of feedback between teachers and students, which will allow summarizing the successes and results of the development of the two academic courses in the first year of the project’s implementation and outlining milestones for the future.

🌍 In the second thematic block of the graduate discussions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss various options and prospects for the further development of the political system and political institutions in Ukraine against the background of considering both the advanced and positive, as well as possibly negative and critical experience of Western and Central-Eastern European countries, which are already members of the European Union. This is extremely relevant against the backdrop of Ukraine’s Eurointegration progress and expectations for further democratization, development, and reform of political institutions in our country.

🌐 As a result of the graduate discussions on “Political Institutions and Systems are important,” recommendations will be developed regarding the further development of the mentioned academic courses and understanding the possibilities of using European political and institutional experience in Ukraine.

The event will be organized by the Department of Political Science, the Center for Political Studies, and the student society “Polis,” with financial support from the European Union under the “Erasmus+” program under the direction of “Jean Monnet for Higher Education” (module “Political Institutions and Systems in Europe: Comparison and Experience for Ukraine“, No. 101126702).
