In the framework of the international grant project «Quality Assurance System in
Ukraine: on the Base of ENQA Standards and Guidelines» within the EU Erasmus + the Ivan Franko
The National University of Lviv hosted the first ceremonial meeting of partners on the 4th of April 2016 in the
Mirror Hall.
The representatives of the consortium of 13 universities from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Lithuania,
Greece, the Netherlands, as well as the German independent agency for external evaluation and
accreditation (ASIIN), Central European network of agencies for quality assurance (CEENQA), Ministry
of Education and Science of Ukraine, state educational institution “Training and methodology center for
qualified education” and Ukrainian Association of student self-governance attended the meeting and
presented their institutions.

At the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany)  started summer school within QUAERE project
which will last till 22 July. Previous meeting of Ukrainian partners had place in Wroclaw.

Summer School under QUAERE project was continuing in Koblenz-Landau. Among the issues are
discussed: QA systems in EU HEIs, External QA procedures, Listening to students and professional
Markets.

The second week of the Summer School continues at the University of Koblenz-Landau under the
QUAERE  project. For a discussion were submitted relevant topics: Academic Entrepreneurship, Course
Development, Assessment procedures.

The guest of the Summer School is a representative of ASIIN Consult GmbH (Germany) Dr. Iring
Wasser. The theme of his speech was: Impact of new standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the
European Higher Area (ESG) on quality assurance requirements in Ukraine.

On 24-26 of October in Chernivtsi is taking place working meeting under the QUAERE project. All
partner-universities participate in this meeting. During the meeting, Ukrainian partners of the project
have to present a quality system of education at their universities using the framework given by the list
of internal QA standards. All European partners are presenting developments according to
requirements of WP. 1

Started a working meeting in Wroclaw on the QUAERE project under the ERASMUS + program. Accreditation of Higher Educational Institutions in Ukraine. Best Practices in Quality Assurance in European Universities. System of quality of educational process at Wroclaw Polytechnic University.

A meeting was started in Dusseldorf, Germany, within the framework of the QUAERE project “The Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Development Based on European Standards and Recommendations” at the ASIIN office of the German independent external evaluation and accreditation agency.
On the first day, discussions were held on the prospects for achieving the planned project objectives for the development of criteria and procedures for external quality assessment based on European standards and recommendations for ensuring the quality of education. Discussion issues were identified defining the directions of project development, which could be most useful for building a national quality assurance system in Ukraine, as well as the work of the National Agency for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education.

Regular working meeting at Kyiv National University. T. Shevchenko of the QUAERE project “The Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Development Based on European Standards and Recommendations” within the framework of the ERASMUS + program.

The first day of the meeting was with the introductory speech by the representative of the project coordinator QUAERE (Wroclaw Politechnika) Mariusz Mazurkevich.

The representative of the National Project Coordinator (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) Vitaliy Kukharsky, together with the participants of the meeting, discussed procurement of equipment for Ukrainian universities. Also presented was SWOT – Analysis of the internal system of quality assurance at the Odessa National University. I. Mechnikov and the Chernivtsi National University. Yu Fedkovich.

The working meeting ended with the discussion of SWOT analyzes of Odesa and Chernivtsi universities. In general, within the framework of the meeting, the presentation of the SWOT – Analysis of the internal quality assurance system of education of eight universities of Ukraine is envisaged.

Presentations of the SWOT analysis of the implementation of European standards of internal quality assurance in Ukrainian universities that are members of the consortium.
SWOT analysis is an analysis of the external and internal environment of the organization. SWT Analysis includes Strengths, weaknesses (Weakness) of the internal environment, as well as the Opportunities and the threats of the organization’s external environment. SWOT analysis of the implementation of European standards for the domestic quality assurance of education is carried out at Ukrainian universities for the first time.

As part of the implementation of the international grant project “The system of quality assurance in education in Ukraine: development on the basis of European standards and recommendations” under the EU Erasmus program + March 3, at the National Erasmus + office of Ukraine, a meeting of the partners of the consortium with the representatives of the NATION (Olena Panich, advisor Natsagentstva), the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Oleg Sharov, Director of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science) and the State Inspection of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Gurak Ruslan, Head of the Institute of Internal Affairs of Ukraine). During the meeting a constructive and fruitful discussion of the criteria for national accreditation of educational programs took place.

Another meeting on the QUAERE project at Khmelnitsky National University. On the agenda:

• analysis of the provision on the internal quality assurance system and the development of an exemplary model.
• analysis of models of the system of internal quality assurance of VO (Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Ukrainian Student Self-Government Association, European partner universities);
• the project of the system of indicators and indicators for determining the level of quality assurance of higher education institutions in universities of Ukraine (Khmelnytskyi National University)
• Commented comments on presentations (National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education)
• Roundtable “Development of the basic model of the system of internal quality assurance of higher education for higher educational institutions of Ukraine”

Meeting #QUAERE Project Team at the University of Patras (Greece). In addition to organizational issues, a training from the #ASSIN (German Independent Agency for External Evaluation and Accreditation) on the topic: “Evaluation Criteria for In-depth Analysis of the Quality Assurance System” was held. Presentation of self-assessment report on quality assurance of the team of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The expert is ASSIN, which gives its comments and evaluation.

An informative training on self-examination of the quality education system was held by the specialist ASSIN Iringa Vaserra.

In the framework of the working meeting at the University of Patra (Grnia), work was undertaken on exemplary provisions on the quality assurance system at universities.

The agenda includes presentation and discussion of models of internal quality assurance system for the university procedures, stakeholders, regulatory support in terms of ESG 2015. The first day goes into heated discussions on the model of internal quality assurance system of the university and discussing model provisions for quality assurance center of legal education. One of the few cases where the efforts of several projects together for one goal – the development of quality education.
