The conference was held on November 15–16, 2024, and organized as the ninth in the series of international scientific conferences “Political Parties and Elections: Ukrainian and Global Practices” (in memory of Yuriy Shveda) by the Department of Political Science at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Center for Political Studies in Lviv.

The conference brought together renowned researchers, educators, analysts, and experts from Ukraine and other countries, who discussed a wide range of topics related to the institutional frameworks of the political process, inter-institutional relations, electoral and party aspects of the political process amid the Russo-Ukrainian war and the crisis of global development.

The three main sections of the conference addressed issues related to electoral processes and party politics, the functioning and transformation of political institutions, parties, and civil society organizations in Ukraine and the world, as well as the integration progress of the European Union in the context of national political processes.
