On November 25, the international scientific conference of the Department of Political Science “Institutional, party and electoral factors of the political process in Ukraine and other European countries in conditions of war and uncertainty: national, supranational and subnational levels” was held. It is the eighth in the series of international scientific conferences “Political Parties and Elections: Ukrainian and World Practices” (in memory of Yuriy Shveda) of the Department of Political Science of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Center for Political Studies in Lviv.

At each of the thematic sections of the conference, reports of researchers, teachers and experts from different countries were presented. Most of the speeches focused on the problems of structuring the political process, the influence of the electoral process on the political and party spheres, the transformation of parties and the organization of civil society at different levels of government.
The international representation of the Conference covered the following states: United Kingdom (Birmingham University), Poland (Wroclaw), Slovakia (Pryasiv), Lithuania (Vytautas the Great University), Israel (Bar-Ilan University), Finland (Helsinki University).

Among the all-Ukrainian academic circles, Uzhhorod National University, Ostroh Academy National University, Yuri Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University, Ukrainian Catholic University and other leading institutions of higher education and analytical institutions joined the Conference. centers
